Sean- A dog Flanders

There lived a boy named Nello and his granfather in a village called Flanders.

They delivered milk.

One day, they saw a dog lying on the ground.

they took great care of the dog.

They also named him Patrasche.

 

Nello's granfather became very ill.

Nello delivered milk with Patrasche.

 

Nello often met with Aloise.

"Aloise! Go sit biside Patrasche!"

Nello painted a picture of them.

 

Mr.Cogez,Aloise's father, got angry at Nello.

"Don't ever meet with Aloise again!"

Mr.Cogez hated Nello.

It was because Nello was poor.

 

Nello heard about a drawing contest.

There was a big prize for the winner.

He worked hard on his painting.

 

Nello went to the cathedral of Antwerp.

"Patrasche, a painting by Rubens is here."

Rubens was the painter Nello lokes.

But He couldn't see the painting.

He had to pay to see it.

 

A fire started at Mr.Cogez's wind mill.

It was the day Nello Played with Aloise there.

"You set the fire, didn't you?"

Mr.Cogez thought Nello had set the fire.

 

The villagers didn't drink the milk delivered by Nello any more.

Nello's granfather passed away that winter.

Nello was very sad.

 

Finally it was the day the result of the drawing contest was to be announced.

Nello's painting was not there.

 

It was Christmas Eve.

Partasche found Mr.Cogez's wallet in the snow.

Nello and Patrasche went to his house.

 

"Aloise,Patrasche has found your father's wallet.

And I'll leave Patrasche to you."

Nello Hurriedly ran out.

'Patrasche, stay warm there.'

 

But Patrasche followed Nello.

They went to the Cathedral of Antwerp.

The painting by Rubens was open to the public.

Nello's painting was chosen for a prize and displayed there.

but he didn't see it.

 

It was the next day.

Nello and Patrasche were found dead.

Aloise and Mr.Cogez cried quietly.
