Scene 1
Narrator: It's morning time and Mary and her lamb are just waking up. Mary diligently readies for school, but is stops in her tracks when her lamb asks her silly question.
Lamb: baa, baa. I love MaryMary: I's time for school.Lamb: I want to come too!Mary: Sorry, you can't come.Lamb: Please! Mary let me join you.Mary: No, no, no. Be patient and wait here. See you later!
(Mary walks off the stage)
Lamb: (sneaks after her) I'm going to school too!
(Lamb walks off the stage)
Scene 2 Narrator: Mary has arrived to school. But unbeknownst to Mary, her lamb has also suck to school behind her. How will the other students, and teachers, react to Mary's furry four legged friend.
David: Hi Mary! Is that your lamb?
(Lamb sneaks unto stage behind Mary)
Lamb: Baaa!Mary: Uh-oh! You followed me!David: It's so cute! Can I pet it?Mary: (giggles and looks at the lamb) Well you're here mow, (looks at her friends) pet away guys.Davis: Yay!
(Sara and John pet Lamb)
David: Mary's lamb is so little and it's wool is as white as snow.
(Mr. Smith walks on stage)
David: Mary Mrs. Smith is coming!Mary: Shh. Hide in here.
(Mary hides lamb in the cabinet)
Mr. Smith: Good morning, class.Students (Everybody): Good morning, Mrs. SmithMr. Smith: What time is it?Students (Everybody): It's nine o' clock!Mr. Smith: It is nine o'clock! It's time for math class.Lamb: (While Mrs. Smith is teaching) I'm bored. I miss Mary. Baaaaa.
Narrator: Mr. Smith tunes into Lamb's cried of boredom.
Mr. Smith: Did I hear some one say "baaaaaa" like a sheep.
(The kids all look at each other, and then at Mary)
Mr. Smith: Mary was that you?
Narrator: Mary nervously belts out a lie to cover up for her furry friend
Mary: Umm sorry I burped.
(all the kids giggle)
Mr. Smith: quiet down,
quiet down. It's ok Mary just say "excuse me" after.
Mary: (Embarrassed) Will do, Mrs. Smith.
(Mary turns to the cabinet and gives Lamb a look)
Mr. Smith: Ok, everyone takes out a sheet of paper.
(The students take out sheets of paper)
Mr. Smith: Time to work on some addition.
(Mr. Smith starts writing on the board)
Narrator: Mary's Lamb is hungry and can't help itself when it eyes a tasty sheet
of paper.
David: Hey! Stop that! Mrs. Smith! Mary's lamb is eating my paper!
Mary: Oh no
(Students laugh)
Mr. Smith: Wha.. what! Why is there a lamb here?David (Ruon): It's Mary's lamb.Mr. Smith: Mary, this is against the rules.Mary: Yes, Mr. Smith. I'm sorry.
Narrator: Mr. Smith takes Mary's lamb and excludes it to the school's weedy backyard.
Mr. Smith: stay here.
Scene 3*Setting: School*
Mr. Smith: What time is it now?Students (Everyone): lt's ten o'clock!
Mr. Smith: It's time for art class
Students (Everyone):: Yay!
(Lamb looks through the window)
Lamb: Baaaa, I want to play with Mary.
David: I'm painting a cat
Mary: I'm painting a lamb.
Narrator: Lamb eyes the picture Mary is drawing.Lamb: Mary misses me! I want to go in.(Lamb walks over to the door, then stops)]Lamb: If I go in again Mary could get in trouble.
Narrator: Before Mary's lamb acts out on it's strong feeling for Mary, it has a change of heart.
Lamb: I'll be patient and wait for Mary. But... I'm hungry. I'll eat some grass.Mr. Smith: It's break time.
Students (Everyone): Yay!
(The students walk outside)
Mary: Thank you for waiting!
(Mary hugs Lamb)
Lamb: Baaa! Baaa!Mr. Smith: The grass looks nice here.
Mary: Oh, it does! Someone cut it.David: No. The lamb ate it.Mary: Mrs. Smith, can my lamb come again tomorrow If it stays outside?
Mr. Smith: David? Alice?David: I don't mind, outside is fine.Mr. Smith: All right. Mary. Your lamb can be our school gardener.
Students (Everyone): Hurray!
Lamb: Baaaa!
