The Little Tortoise and the Hare / Tiara

 

 

 

One day, the tortoise was walking along the hill.

The hare wanted to tease him.

 

"Hey, Tortoise! How could you be so slow?"

"I am not slow!"

 

"Then let's run a race!"

"All right!"

Other animals gathered around them.

 

"I'll refree the race!" said the fox.

More and more animals gathered.

 

"Now let's start the race!"

said the hare confidently to the tortoise.

The fox raised the flag.

"Ready, go!"

 

The hare quicly ran foeward.

But the tortoise was slow to start.

Everyone cheered for the hare.

 

The tortoise ran diligently.

'I'll do my best and win!"

 

The hare looked back.

He could'n see the tortoise.

"Ha-ha-ha! Tortoise can't beat me!"

 

The hare decided to take a short rest

'I'll take a nap here.'

 

The tortoise didn't stop and continued to run.

And he saw the the hare sleeping under the tree.

 

'He's sleeping in the middle of the race...

I'll just do my best.'

The tortoise ran even more diligently.

 

It was evening.

The hare woke up from sleep.

"Oh, I feel better."

 

He could not see the tortoise.

"Is he still not here?"

 

The hare reached the finished line.

And he was surprised.

The toeroise was already there!

The hare regretted not doing his best.
