If I had a choice,
I would eat chocolate everyday.
Chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, or chocolate muffins.
But that would not be for me.
I would probably only eat chocolate and nothing else.
We hear about eating a healthy, balanced diet.
This means I need to eat the right amounts from all the food groups.
A healthy diet is not only about eating “Healthy foods.”
We need to mix a lot of different things together.
Some foods like milk, cheese,
and other dairy products have a lot of fat.
But you need some fat in your diet.
You also need calcium for strong bones.
Proteins and carbohydrates are important, too.
Most of all, you need to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits.
Personally, I don’t like vegetables.
But my mom adds some spices to them.
Then they become okay to eat.
It is also important to eat regularly.
If you skip breakfast and lunch
and then have a big dinner, it’s not healthy.
It can even make you sick.
Eating things from each of the food groups
will help us to grow big and strong.
It’s all about eating things in balance and enjoying it.
