The Country Mouse and The City Mouse -Chloe

Country Mouse would shake his head. Here is the reason why.

 

Country Mouse and City Mouse were relatives.

One day City Mouse visited Contry Mouse.

Country Mouse was very happy to see City Mouse.

So he prepared corns and crumbs for their dinner.

 

City Mouse told Country Mouse about the city as they ate dinner.

He said the city was better to live in.

He told Contry Mouse that he can get good food every night.

Country Mouse wanted to see the city.

So City Mouse took Country Mouse back with him to the city.

 

City Mouse's house was big and warm.

The mice watched the humans eat. Soon the humans left.

The mice carefully and quietly climbed the table.

The table was covered with food.

 

They ate some corn bread. It was delicious.

There was bread, cheese, salad, and even cake.

The mice ate until their stomachs were fat.

 

Suddenly the table shook. Then they heard a loud cry.

Country Mouse and City Mouse looked up.

There stood a large cat. The ct hissed at the mice.

The mice ran back into City Mouse's home. They were scared.

 

Country Mouse came back to the country.

His house was small. He did not have lots of food.

But he felt safe and happy.
