World taught me equality

 

Hines Ward was the most valuble player of Super Bowl XL.

Hines Ward Was born in Seoul to a Korea mother and an African-American father.

After his success in the Super Bowl games, Hines returned to his birth place.

He wanted to talk about racism in korea.

 

When I first saw him on television, I was impressed by his confidence.

He was proud of who he was and what he accomplished.

Hines did not seem embarrassed that he had interaicl parents.

Still, Hines cried when he described

how difficult it was for him growing up.

 

On his final day in korea,

Hines donated 1 million USD dallars

to create the Hines Ward Helping Hands Foundation.

His foundation was set up to help multiracial children.

 

I really respect Hines Ward.

He could have been angry at the people who teased him.

But instead, he wanted to help others not go through he had to.

 

Hines really showed us that it is not important

what color you are what nationlity you are.

You are important because of who you are and what you do.

Each person, no matter where they are from,

can make a big diffrence in the world.

 

Hines Ward also taught me that prejudice is a poison.

No one is above another human being.

All of us are made eaqual.

And all of us should have the same opportunities in life.

Then it is up to each of us make good use of our lives.

 

I admire Hines Ward as an athelte.

But I respect him more as a person.

I am going to do my best to follow his exgample.

하인스 워드는 서울에서 한국인 어머니와 아프리카계 미국인 아버지 사이에서 태어났습니다.

그는 한국의 인종차별에 대해 말하고 싶어했습니다.

 

처음 하인즈를 TV에서 보았을 때, 그의 자신감이 인상적이었습니다.

그는 자기 자신과, 자기가 이룬것에 대해 자랑스러워 했습니다.

하인즈는 인종이 다른 부모를 가졌다는 것에 난감해하지 않는 걸로 비쳤죠.

그러나 자기가 얼마나 힘들게 성장했는지를 설명할 때 하인즈는 울었습니다.

 

한국에서의 마지마날, 하인즈는 하인즈워드 복지재단을 만들기 위해 백말달러를 기부했습니다.

그의 재단은 혼혈 아동들을 도울목적으로 세워졌습니다.

 

나는 진심으로 하인즈 워드를 존경합니다.

그는 자기를 놀려대는 사람들에게 분노할수도 있었습니다.

하지만 그렇게 하는 대신 그는 그가 겪어야 했던 일을 다른 이들이 겪지 않도록 돕길 원했죠.

 

하인즈는 우리에게 피부색과 국적은 중요하지 않다는 것을 진정으로 보여주었습니다.

당심이 누구이고 무엇을 행하는지가 중요합니다.

어느 출신이냐와 상관없이 모든 개인은 세상을 바꿔놓을 수 있습니다.

 

하인즈 워드는 또한 편견은 독이라는 것 가르쳐 주었습니다.

누구도 다른 인간 위에 있지 않습니다.

우리는 모두 평등하게 태어났습니다.

그리고 우리 모두 인생에서 똑같은 기회를 가져야 합니다.

그런 다음 인생을 잘 활용하는 것은 우리 각자에게 달렸죠.

 

나는 운동선수인 하인즈 워드를 존경합니다.

하지만 나는 그를 한 사름으로서 더욱 존경합니다.

나는 최선을 다해 그를 본받을 겁니다.
