How can I save money?

 

A There is a new game I want to buy. 사고 싶은 새 게임이 있어

B Really? What kind of game is it? 그래? 어떤 게임인데?

A It is an adventure game. 어드벤처 게임이야.

I think it will be a lot of fun. 아주 재밌을 것 같아.

But my mom won’t buy it for me. 하지만 우리 엄마가 사주지 않을거야.

B Then you will need to save money. 그럼 돈을 모아야 겠네.

A I know. 알아.

But I am not good at saving money. 하지만 난 돈을 모으는 데 소질이 없어.

B I can help you. 내가 도와줄게.

I saved 50,000won once. 난 오만원을 모은적이 있어.

B I cleaned my room everyday. 내 방을 날마다 청소했어.

I also took out the garbage. 쓰레기도 내다 버리고.

A I hate doing that stuff. 난 그런일 싫어하는데.

I also hate making my bed. 내 잠자리를 정리하는 것도 싫어하는걸.

B That’s not nice. It’s your room. 그건 좋지 않다. 네 방이잖아.

So those things should be your duty. 그런 건 네가 할 일이지.

A I guess so. 그렇겠지

B If you want to make money, 돈을 모으고 싶으면

you have to earn it. 벌어야 하는 거잖아.

A Did your parents give you money? 부모님이 돈을 주셨어?

B They gave me an allowance every week. 매주 용돈을 주셨어.

I wanted to spend it right away. 바로 써버리고 싶더라.

But I put it inside my piggy bank. 하지만 돼지 저금통에 넣었지.

A How long did it take you to save? 모으는데 얼마나 걸렸니?

B A long time! 꽤 오래!

But soon my piggy bank was full. 하지만 어느새 돼지 저금통이 꽉 차더라.

When I counted the money, 돈을 세봤을 땐

I couldn’t believe it. 믿을 수가 없었지.

A Wow! That’s great. 와! 대단한걸!

B I also learned something. 배운점도 있어.

If you work hard for something, 무언가를 위해 열심히 하면,

it will be more special to you. 그건 더 특별해진다는 걸

A I am going to speak to my parents about this. 우리 부모님께 이 예길 해야겠다.

B Do you need a piggy bank? 돼지 저금통이 필요해?
